Every year DJ Mag run an annual award series dubbed Best of British. The awards pay tribute to a veritable who’s been who, where’s been where and what’s been what in the UK club music scene over the past 12 months. This year, Junk have been nominated in the Best Small Club category, alongside Cosmic Ballroom (Newcastle), Dance Tunnel (London), Wire (Leeds), and XOYO (London).

Best of British — now in its sixth year — is your chance to pay homage to the homegrown DJs, artists, clubs, record labels and festivals that make the UK one of the most exciting scenes on the planet.

The nominations are given below. There are many names that’ll be familiar to the Southampton club goers: Many of the DJs nominated have visited Southampton over the past 12 months, and lots of the music nominated has seen plenty of air time across Southampton on a weekly basis.
