As you may have noticed, Junk’s staple and, for the most part, deep house club night JUNK LOVE has disappeared in favour of their new brand WE ARE JUNK … well, new as of 21st September, but hey we try to be on the ball here at SOTONIGHT HQ.

You may also have noticed that it’s Saturday nights that play host to the WE ARE JUNK series. This November (and indeed throughout the remainder of October) the series will be punctuated with showcases from external brands, just as the JUNK LOVE events frequently were. This Autumn, takeovers will include The Zoo Project, Visionquest, Watergate and Concrete Music, which is an exciting prospect to say the least.

In addition to those, the nights branded as WE ARE JUNK are each promoted in collaboration (firmly on-current-trend for denotation of the word “and” with an “x”) with a record label. This undoubtedly suggests that the new Saturday nights have been carefully curated, which is self-evident when you peruse the names gracing the lineups given below.

12.10.13: The Zoo Project with Samuel DeepNic & Kaleb
19.10.13: WEAREJUNK x Aus Music with Joy Orbison + Midland
26.10.13: WEAREJUNK x Circo Loco with Dan Ghenacia + Andrew Grant
02.11.13: Visionquest with Ryan Crosson + Laura Jones + Lee Curtiss
09.11.13: WEAREJUNK x Innervisions with Âme + Citizen
16.11.13: Watergate Worldwide Affairs with Sebo K + Lee Jones + Metro
23.11.13: Concrete Music presents Detroit Swindle
30.11.13: WEAREJUNK x Edible with Eats Everything + Bones

If you’ve been paying attention recently you may have seen that a few of these new headliners were teased back in September. Well, now we know the dates and support acts as well as who Junk have invited along to help throw the parties. Concrete Music from Portsmouth will be hosting Detroit Swindle, while other nights will see collaborations with Innervisions and Eats Everything’s Edible.

Excited? Well, get this: SOTONIGHT have teamed up with Junk and are giving you the opportunity to head along to the Aus Music night featuring Joy Orbison and Midland for freeOh, and you can take a friend along too.
