Kölsch joins High Tide for open top Bank Holiday Boat Party

With their third and final Garden Party fast approaching, High Tide have announced another date for the diary. This August Bank Holiday Sunday they plan to once again set sail upon the solent with visionary producer Kölsch. For the first time ever (weather permitting) they’ll be lifting the lid and playing out across the solent on an open deck.

Full name Rune Reilly Kölsch, you’ll likely be familiar with Rune’s saxophone anthem ‘Calabria’, be it in the original form or one of its countless re-iterations. Operating under various monikers since he took to production in the mid-nineties, Rune has sold millions of records across the globe.

Hailing from Denmark’s capital of Copenhagen, Rune has operated under his surname Kölsch the past few years as his go-to outlet for house and techno, however his acclaimed debut album 1977 showcases a rich musical knowledge that mere genre labels cannot describe. Kölsch has an immersive sound that draws you in, whether it’s with a hypnotic four to the floor beat or chilly vocals breezing over his gentler records to send shivers down your spine; he’s got a knack for slow burners that build steadily for an immense payoff. It’s no surprise then that he was selected by Pete Tong in 2014 as his  Essential Mix Future Star, and has also turned in remixes for Eric Prydz, Henry Krinkle and even Coldplay.

High Tide residents Steve Knight, Dan Reid, Gary Benneton, will be joining Kölsch topside, whilst ThemAgen, George Walker, A.C. and Boule’ will be taking care of the lower deck.

Boarding is between 3 and 4pm for a swift departure on the hour, and returning to dock by 8.30pm allowing ample time to arrange further Bank Holiday weekend plans for the evening.

Tickets for High Tide’s Open Deck Boat Party are available now priced at £18/£20/£22 corresponding to Super Earlybird, Earlybird and Standard release.
