Unit Events announces New Years Eve Bootleggers Ball in Bedford Place, Southampton

With the recent announcement of the closure of their home in St Mary’s, the team behind Unit nightclub have decided to explore the city, promising to put on events aimed at the Unit audience and beyond. Taking inspiration from the 1920’s American prohibition era, their first event is a New Years Eve ‘Bootleggers Ball’ being held at both Home and Attik in the centre of Bedford Place (formerly Aura and RoXX).

The promoters behind Unit Events are promising to inject Bedford Place with their unique brand of alt-rock parties with a twist, in what we see as being a welcome addition to the area on New Years Eve.

There’ll be two rooms of music, covering everything from rock, indie, pop punk, metal, hip hop, dance, pop and more from 9pm ’til 4am. They’re also keen to stress that NYE is just the beginning for Unit Events, with a lot of parties in the works for 2015 covering a whole range of genres and theme nights at some of the best venues in in the city.

Tickets for New Years Eve can be purchased from Fatsoma and you can find more info on their Facebook page.

Update from Unit:

We are stoked to announce that we will be joined behind the decks by Caleb Shomo from Ohio upstarts BEARTOOTH! Their debut album release earlier this year has already made the top 10 albums of 2014 lists for both Kerrang! & Rocksound. If your New Years Eve wasn’t big enough already, its gargantuan now!
