Switch/Warehouse reveal free party with Blonde, January 2015

Not content with just a sold out New Years Eve party headlined by Chase & Status as well as a New Years Day bash featuring Paul Woolford and Infinity Ink, Switch are laying on another of their free parties as a welcome back present to all the students returning to Southampton in January. The Warehouse brand will be welcoming Blonde to Switch on Saturday 10th January.

Blonde, formerly Blonde Sound, consists of Jacob Manson and Adam Engelfield. The pair first crossed paths when Manson approached Eton Messy, looking for an outlet for his solo material. Interested by what he’d heard from Manson, Engelfield, the man responsible for establishing the now notorious future-garage channel, reached out to Manson, inspired by his sound. The pair began working on some material together and the rest is history. Blonde’s latest single I Loved You has gained widespread support, helping it to debut in the UK charts at number 8. Launched into the limelight with the single peaking at number 4, the attention from a wider audience has teed the pair up nicely for a big year in 2015 with a debut album on the way. The duo describe how they prefer to identify their music with a vibe rather than a specific genre, and  with Engelfield’s background running one of the most respected taste-making brands, these can surely only be good vibes.

The event is free of charge for all arriving at Switch before 11.30.
