Soundclash Festival to host Annie Mac, Sigma at Switch Southampton

Well into its second phase lineup reveals Southampton Soundclash have announced two Soundclash Presents events at Switch Southampton to generate further anticipation for the festival in May. It has been revealed that the club on Above Bar Street will play host to the ever-popular taste-maker Annie Mac and chart-topping DnB duo Sigma in March and April respectively.

Saturday 28th, the last weekend of March will see Annie Mac make her appearance at Switch with support from Foor, and BITR8. Annie Mac has been running her Radio 1 show since 2004, and soon earned a regular Friday night party-starter slot, the DJ has provided the soundtrack to countless weekends ever since.

Over the past year the Radio 1 DJ has solidified her reputation as a main stage festival act, making appearances at many of the Uks top festivals main and close to home at Bestival’s famous port stage. Her focus on promoting up and coming artists also landed her the job as the host for Launched at Redbull Studios. Her recent Annie Mac Presents Compilations have taken her influence a step further and have undeniably established her one of this generations’ chief taste-makers.

Sigma have topped the UK chart twice in 2014 with their glorified bootleg of Jay-Z’s Bound 2, Nobody to Love, and collaboration with eccentric singer-songwriter Paloma Faith Changes, Changes. The duo continue to prove the mass appeal of upbeat DnB. Having already made an appearance at Switch last year to celebrate Dirty Box Promotions’ 6th Birthday, the duo will be returning on Easter Sunday for a special Holiday event.

Earlybird tickets for Soundclash Presents Sigma are available now, and tickets for Soundclash Presents Annie Mac will go on sale on the 8th February.
