SOTONIGHT To Host Boat Party in June

Didn’t fancy exchanging £50 for the Grad Ball at Oceana? Well we’ve a tasty (and cheaper) alternative to ensure you see off your years at uni in style.

SOTONIGHT are excited to be taking your graduation celebrations to sea. We reckoned if you’re going to be getting your smartest garments on we had to find a premier venue and a stellar line up for an 8 hour party on land and sea.

We’ve secured Blue Funnel Cruises’ biggest boat to taking you through The Solent and to sunset. The after party will be at the newly refurbished Unit.

Boat Party 7pm – 11pm. Unit After Party 11pm – 3am.

Tickets up next week. Boat party tickets include entry to the after party and are priced at £15 for first release.

Update: This event is now sold out. But fear not, you can come to the after party. By the way: Buying an after-party-only ticket enters you into a draw to win the LAST TWO boat party tickets!

We have curated a lineup that’s distinctly Southampton:

Headsessions Soundsystem: Southampton’s leading reggae and dub soundsystem will be providing their huge custom built rig for the night. They’ll be pushing forwards with a vinyl only set to welcome you onboard with the sounds of Jamaica to get you in the mood as we set sail.

Aaron Sycamore & Natty B: Aaron and Nat have been part of the FG crew that shook things up two years a go with their disco house parties and haven’t looked back since. These two will be picking up the tempo with Natty B taking you through the sunset.

Maxi House: Some of you may have heard of him from gracing the decks at house parties around Portswood, a London resident who works closely with music blog abouttoblowblog is coming down to play a House/Tech House set.

Gaswell: Some know him as the biggest wasteman on road, others don’t know him at all, but if you don’t know get to know. Winner of the TRiPP SoundClash three times in a row, he will be bringing the boat back into dock with some naughty 140 and garage riddims getting you in the mood for the after party at UNIT.
