High Tide resident Stephen Knight told us:
We’ve saved the best until last and this one is definitely for the real house heads. We’re celebrating 10 years of 8bit Records, one of High Tide’s favourite record labels and a staple in all our sets. It’s also a triple headliner – this will be our hottest Garden Party of 2015!
Demand for Nick Curly’s sets are ever in high demand as the German DJ continues to prove himself year upon year. It’s thanks to the quality of his productions that Nick has outlasted the hype surrounding the ‘Mannheim sound’. Under his watchful eye 8bit Records has released many, now legendary, tracks by the likes of Santé, Sidney Charles, and Steve Lawler.
Pit Waldman has always been a talented musician, playing drums and piano before taking up his alias Gorge. Together with Nick, Pit has been instrumental in pushing a move towards the deeper emotive sounds that have come to characterize Mannheim’s tech and house output of late. Pit is a relentless remixer and has clocked in somewhere in the region of forty over the past couple of years.
Joining the 8bit Records crew, High Tide and friends will also be attendance. On the terrace expect to see Gary Benneton back to back with Dan Reid and Steven Knight play back to back with George Walker for a three hour set. Meanwhile inside SoBar there’s a second room of music with Alessandro Cardillo (AC), Jay Ahmed, Joseph Benn Skingsley and Dominic Nortney on the decks.
