After their opening weekend (with Joy Orbison, Levon Vincent, Miguel Campbell, and Benoit & Sergio) Junk are getting back into the swing of things with a choice selection of artists from the house/techno scenes performing on Saturdays throughout September, October, November, and December.
Following the opening weekend, Mosca will round off September (support from Pedestrian of the Born Electric camp) while secretsundaze will be getting things underway in October with James Priestley and Giles Smith. Jackmaster, off the back of his recent XOYO residency, will be back in town on the 11th Oct with support from Jon Rust. Next up is a DFTD (Defected) night featuring Flashmob, Sonny Fodera, and Charlie Banks followed by Luara Jones (Visionquest/Crosstown Rebels) and Bones (Sankeys/Emerging Ibiza) on the 25th.
Hannah Wants will be headlining a special one-off Bang Bang Halloween event on the 30th Oct. She’ll have support from a selection of Southampton’s finest – BITR8, K1R3Y, Gavin Foord, et al.
November starts off with The Zoo Project (Ibiza) featuring Molly (Rex Club) and Samuel Deep (Slapfunk). 8th Nov will see Midland return to the club, this time joined by Tasker of Boiler Room fame. Moving forward, its a Detroit Swindle takeover on the 15th – they’ll be performing a four hour set. The penultimate Saturday in November will be a Futureboogie affair, with Waifs & Strays and the Futureboogie DJs headlining. Last but not least (for November) is a Hessle Audio showcase with Pearson Sound and Pangaea at the helm (the Future Garden DJs will also be in the building for this one).
Berlin will be in residence for the start of December as Watergate line up for another showcase, this time featuring Heidi, Metro, and Sebastian Wilck. Next up on the 13th: Dense & Pika with support from Junk-regular Ceri. And finally, as a late Christmas present on the 27th, James Zabiela and Eats Everything will be performing a marathon (well, 4 hour) back-to-back session.
Naturally, all the events mentioned will feature various combinations of the excellent Junk (and Junk Department) resident DJs: Luca Pilato, Rhymos, Jody Hannan, Jordan McKinlay, Moda Soul, Jay Ahmed, Carlington, Matt Kelly, and George A.G.
Still to come: NYE.
