Hospitality comes to Switch Southampton with Lynx, Nu:Tone, Krakota

Hospital Records will be bringing their worldwide brand Hospitality to Switch on Friday 3rd April, their showcase of talent including Lynx, Nu:Tone, and Krakota. It’ll be the label’s second collaboration with Southampton’s ever popular Warehouse brand, but the first occasion that the label will be bringing the party to Switch, having played their previous label night at the Mo’Club (now Engine Rooms).
Founded in 1996 by Tony Colman, Hospital Records is one of the UK’s premier Drum and Bass labels, hosting a plethora of talent over the years, mentioning Danny Byrd, High Contrast and Netsky would be to name but a few. Running from 10pm until the earlier hours at 4am, Hospitality will be out in force, bringing with them Lynx, Nu:Tone, Krakota, J Skeptic, Chemical Case, Huell & Tom Freeth to represent the label, with MCs SP:MC, Master X, and Combat Collins hosting.

Known for injecting a flavour of funk into his sets, Lynx has cultivated a reputation for defying stereotypes. An attitude he mirrors in his productions. The veteran of the night’s line up, Nu:Tone has released four studio albums. His most recent album, titled ‘Future History’, combines expansive soundscapes with some intense drum programming.

Krakota has recently made his debut in Southampton thanks to Silo, one of Southampton’s newest DnB promoters. A Southcoast resident hailing from Bournemouth, Sebastian Inwood was signed up alongside Lynx, making him one of Hospital Records’ latest acquisition. Under his Krakota guise, Inwood has further upcoming releases on Hospital and is a prime example of fresh local talent; it’s likely we’ll be hearing a lot more from Krakota in the months to come.

Tickets for Hospitality at Switch are available here.
