Dirty Box Promotions
(DBP) have been integral force in booking artists and curating Freshers events in both Southampton and Bournemouth during recent years, and have just unveiled an impressive start to 2014’s proceedings, with news that none other than Groove Armada
will be playing at Warehouse Southampton
during this year’s round of freshers events.
DBP’s Ryan Keary was quick to share the news: “Getting the rare confirmation email tonight for Groove Armada to play for us is the happiest I’ve been since securing Pat Sharp back in 2008.” Set to play Pacha and Space in Ibiza this year, Groove Armada, are amongst the highest circles of DJs on the circuit, and in no shortage of experience on the decks, having been spinning records since the early 90s.The electronic duo from London consists of Andy Cato and Tom Findlay who have together released a whopping total of eight studio albums, amongst them favorites such as “At The River
“, and of course, “I See You Baby
The date that Groove Armada will grace Warehouse is yet to be revealed, but in the meantime there’s still a lot to look forward to as DBP teased another forthcoming booking reveal this Thursday at 7pm. Justin Martin has also been confirmed to headline another “secret” free party during 2014’s Freshers, in a similar format to the recent Cyril Hahn booking at Voodoo. …and, if the rumour mill is to be believed, DBP still have a lot more up there sleeve, mentions of future nights featuring MK, Ten Walls, Simian Mobile Disco, another Hot Creations takeover with Lee Foss, and a rescheduled date for MistaJam’s Speakerbox, sure have us excited for announcements yet to come.
DBP’s Autumn listings will be revealed over the coming months. Keep an eye out for tickets via the official Warehouse Southampton Facebook page, likely to go on sale in August (£10 early birds).
