The Somerley Tea Party Festival Announced For 31st May 2014

The Somerley Tea Party Festival (STP) is a brand new boutique underground electronic music festival, set in the enchanting grounds of Old Somerley and the surrounding woods on the outskirts of the New Forest, near Ringwood. The festival will take place on the 31st May, kicking off at midday and running through till the early hours, and is approximately half way between Bournemouth and Southampton.

The initial lineup release is as follows: Simian Mobile Disco, Eats Everything, Bicep, Ten Walls (live), Ben Pearce, Paul Woolford (Special Request), Oneman, Zoo Look, Brookes Brothers, and Crissy Criss with more to follow in the coming weeks.

Update: The Brookes Brothers are now unable to play and have been replaced by The Prototypes.

There will be three stages of electronic music, with the main stage being hosted by Southampton promoters DBP (Dirty Box Promotions):

DBP is very proud to have been asked to help host main-stage for this brand new end of exams student festival on Saturday 31st May. Back when the organisers got in touch in November, we really bought in to everything – the venue, the stage set ups, line up and entertainment planned for this event looks set to make for one massive 5000 person party as Bournemouth, Soton & Portsmouth universities come together for the biggest end of exams day/night party the South Coast has seen!

Also lined up are a wide selection of South Coast resident DJs. Many of them are from Bournemouth which will come as no surprise when you learn that the festival is being run by those behind the Get Satisfied brand.

Tickets start at £22 and return coach services will be offered from the main transport hubs in Southampton and Bournemouth. There will be an onsite car park and, while Ringwood desn’t have a main line train station, National Express operate to and from Ringwood Coach Station, which is 1.5 miles away from the festival site.

Set in the picturesque grounds Old Somerley and the adjacent Dog Kennel Woods, The STP is a highly unique and intimate underground electronic music festival, using its beautiful surroundings to create a bohemian, corporate-free playground for likeminded party people.
