Common People, Southampton Soundclash nominated in UK Festival Awards 2015

Southampton was firmly planted on the British festival circuit this year with both Common People and Southampton Soundclash Festival making their debuts back in May, and then with Soundclash returning for Round 2 just a couple of weeks ago.

Both festivals have been nominated in the “Best New Festival” category in the 2015 UK Festival Awards and Common People, curated by the team behind Bestival, has also been nominated in the “Best Medium-Sized Festival” (for events of 10,000 to 39,999 capacity).

Voting is open now on the Festival Awards website. The winners will be announced at the Roundhouse (Camden) on the 28th November.

Both Common People and Southampton Soundclash will be returning in 2016. Southampton Soundclash will be upgrading to a two-day event, taking place across the first of the May bank holiday weekends (30th April & 1st May). Dates for Common People 2016 are yet to be announced but we expect the festival to take place on the 28th and 29th May.
