Mixtape Fridays is Orange Rooms’ Friday-night (duh) clubnight. Their current monthly roster features Johni Parker, Alex The Kidd, and the Maxin’ DJs, along with regular appearances from A.Skillz, Featurecast, B-Side, Envious Mind, and Stevo. The clubnight sees a wide range of music being played from week to week, stretching across hip-hop, house, breaks, funk, soul, dnb, reggae, and everything in-between.

From time to time, Mixtape Fridays plays host to some extra-special guest DJs and performers. Recent guests include David Rodigan, Rob da Bank, and Mr Thing. Continuing this trend, the venue’s promo team have beefed-up the October/November schedule by inviting Two Door Cinema Club, Monki, and The Cuban Brothers along to do their thing. Kev and Sam from Two Door Cinema Club will be performing a DJ set on the 10th October, DJ Monki will be in session on the 3rd October, and The Cuban Brothers will be performing on the 28th November.

True Ingredients are also a regular fixture at Orange Rooms on Fridays, with DJ Fenna on the decks (accompanied by vocalists and MCs) providing an infusion of soul, funk, jazz and hip-hop. On the 26th September the group will be performing a special live show with the full band. So that’s Mr. Milk, Mireilla Sings, Angela, Blu Rum 13, Mr Basista, and Natty on vocals, Fenna on keys, Josh Wah and Millzy on the guitars, and Steve O’G on drums. The live show will coincide with the release of their new album “Through The Lens“.

Advance tickets for all four shows mentioned here, as well as full calendar (see below), can be purchased online.
