The most recent lineup announcement sees bass driven duo Camo & Krooked confirmed as the first of two headline acts, whilst the already packed lineup is bolstered by one of Defected Records’ latest signings, GotSome as well as Foor. The latest lineup additions see Redlight and Zinc joined by MCs Dread and Tippa respectively.
Signed to Hospital Records, Camo & Krooked are among the front-runners in the drum and bass world, with a prolific catalogue of releases. Their latest venture, and debut full length album, “Zeitgeist“, saw the duo explore new territory, with disco tinged influences and experiments dabbling in French house and more minimal sounds, alongside the familiar DnB that the duo’s more stalwart fans will surely be hoping for; the album is an expansive and immersive development in the duo’s sound.
Alex Homes and Adam Gorsky, the duo behind house duo GotSome, are hotly tipped for greatness having recently been signed to Defected. The pair have no shortage of experience, however, having been a part of Forget Me Not, before stepping away to work on GotSome. The duo have been at the heart of the thriving Bristol scene and are keen to develop an element of live performance into their act.
Another headliner will be announced in due course to accompany the extensive lineup, of Camo & Krooked, Redlight + Dread MC, My Nu Leng, Zinc + MC Tippa, Toyboy & Robin, Gotsome Charlie Sloth, DJ Luck & MC Neat, and Foor. The event, set for the 30th October (to celebrate Halloween at midnight) will be spread across Southampton venues: RoXX, Revolution, 90 Degrees, Aura, Buddah Lounge, Orange Rooms, Tokyo, Cafe Parfait, and Oceana. A number of local DJs are also billed to play sets, including ThemAgen and the High Tide residents.
Elsewhere over the Halloween weekend, DBP have also organised two Warehouse Southampton (WH) events. Friday 31st October will see Huxley play a 3 hour set, with support from Maribou State, and Saturday 1st November will see the Hot Creations brand take over the Mo Warehouse with Lee Foss, wAFF, and Patrick Topping.
Tickets for DBP’s Southampton multi-venue Halloween event start at just £10, and are on sale now.
