Portsmouth’s Mutiny Festival has revealed 50 Cent as the first headline act for its fourth outing. News of the booking was announced this week, alongside details of a new site for the two-day event.
Mutiny Festival 2017 will take place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of the May Bank Holiday weekend. Launched in 2014 as ‘Portsmouth’s first ever outdoor dance music event’, the festival has previously shifted between different sites each year, however organisers have confirmed that they have secured King George’s Fields in Cosham as a permanent venue for the next five years, allowing them to focus on the long term development of the festival.
Curtis James Jackson III, better known as 50 Cent, was first Signed by Eminem’s Shady Records in 2002, and has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and is responsible for hits ‘In da Club’, ‘Candy Shop’ and ‘P.I.M.P’.
Though primarily a dance-music orientated line-up, Mutiny has a penchant for delivering star studded line-ups, including CeeLo Green earlier this year, and Snoop Dogg in 2015.
Registration for priority tickets is now open.
