Watergate Club Berlin, established 2002 and know for the wall-to-wall LED light installation and its impeccable music policy is, so to speak, visiting Junk Club Southampton. Perhaps a better analogy would be to say that the Watergate sound will be coming to Junk. Watergate, like Fabric London, has proven that it can translate its club appeal to packaged products in the form of a mixed compilation CDs and export them around the world. They’re currently on #14 (mixed by Mathias Kaden) and listening to the back catalogue will certainly give you some idea of what to expect from this Southampton takeover.

The main room lineup on the night will consist of Sebo K, Lee Jones, and Metro supported by the excellent Junk residents.

The Smoker’s Club will be running a guestlist-only basement party (downstairs in The Box). DJing will be Carlington, South Royston, Logika, and Hauolin! Guestlist information is available on their Facebook event.

Sebo K is an artist who is more than just an influential figure within Berlin’s music community; creating music that can take any crowd by the horns and literally give them a tantalising mix of old and new. As a DJ he is a bonafide taste-maker and his progression with Mobilee knows no bounds. Alongside his timeless original productions, tracks such as “Mr. Duke“, he introduces a hint of jazzy percussion, which remind us that he can roll with the tide of musical trends and is no one trick pony. Sebo K has remixed some of the most respected labels and artists on the planet, including Poker Flat, Mule Electronic, Radioslave and Efdemin. Delivering seductive rhythms full of charm and grace to deep minimal master pieces, Sebo K is a dab hand at hypnotising any audience willing to let him.

DJ and producer Lee Jones mixed Watergate 07, the seventh edition of the Berlin nightclub’s compilation series. Whether on his own or with Nick Hoppner as My My, Jones has been DJing and making music for over a decade. His own productions tend to be lean and understated yet still charismatic, as heard on his various 12-inches for Aus Music or his album Electric Frank. It’s a sound that’s well suited to the slick atmosphere of Watergate, where Jones DJs regularly.

Metro is one of the main components of the Watergate team and a DJ/producer. He has notched up releases on Get Physical, Cécille and Watergate’s label itself.. Metro and Sebo K collaborated as Freefall Inc. in 2012:
