Few other producers burst on to the scene in 2013 quite like Marlon Hoffstadt. While “Shake That” was ultimately the track that introduced the German producer to a whole new audience, Hoffstadt has in fact been busy honing his sound for some time – and with releases on the likes of OFF, Play It Down and Stil Vor Talent, he’s very clearly a producer of some repute too. Not too bad going for a producer who only recently waved goodbye to his teenage years. Having just graduated from University, Hoffstadt is now busy working full-time on music, a decision that already looks set to be paying dividends, with future releases and remixes for a host of renowned labels to come.
Disclaimer: I don’t really know anything about these DJs but I did find a press bio online for HRRSN … it was in German … I don’t speak German … I used Google … the resulting English amused me. Here it is:
As a native of Mönchengladbach HRRSN (Harr Sion) moved to Berlin two years ago, he was still far from deep house and simple 4/4 beats. Much more he dealt with folk, soul and RnB which later on also attacked more in the pop direction. When he meets for the first time on Marlon Hoff city in September 2012, it quickly becomes clear to him that slumbers in him a passion for house music. Quickly arise with Marlon Hoff city first common songs. Rapidly the package is getting bigger and now five months later HRRSN can be full of expectant look of plain to see on a summer.
And that’s that.
From the North of England to dance floors across the globe, Josh Butler has made serious headway with his high caliber house sound. Cut from the outspoken West Yorkshire club circuit and propelled towards the forefront of global club land’s next generation, an early affliction with solid club hits has made his name an essential one. Two stints for MTA Records and remix duties for both Chase & Status in tow, Butler is leading the charge towards a new precedent in the underground sound.
