By way of an official pre-party to the Freshers Ball, SUSU have booked ex BBC Radio 1 DJ Kissy Sell Out. Due to the nature of the event, it is exclusive to students of the University of Southampton and will be held in SUSU’s main venue: The Cube … it’s also sold out, so yeah.

Update: Kissy Sell Out will now also be playing at Voodoo Lounge on Friday. No advance tickets available. Friday nights (Juiced, DBP) at Voodoo Lounge are always absolutely rammed so you’re probably gonna want to get down early or sort out some kind of guestlist thingy with the organisers.

Having hosted the hugely successful “Kissy Klub” show on BBC Radio 1 for over 3 years, this summer marks a return to radio which has already sent the cult following of online Kissy Klubbers into a frenzy. The new “Kissy Klub” show will broadcast every last Thursday of the month on Pioneer DJ Radio 8-9pm GMT and past episodes and a huge amount of free content can be found on the iTunes top-4 ranking “Kissy Klub Podcast”.

2013 signals the release of two new DJ mix albums. First up, was the star-studded “mega compilation” San City High ALL STARS which features over 30 high profile collaborators (Hatcha, Eats Everything, Dillon Francis, Zeds Dead, Jack Beats, Hervé, Ali Love and many more) contributing 28 original tracks to the album. On September 9th, Mixmag will be releasing a re-issued and extended copy of Kissy’s hit covermount CD from 2009. Retitled “Kissy Sell Out’s Mixmag Blowout”, the album features a selection of quick-fire modern tracks from the Kissy decks alongside some nostalgic old school flavours which will fuel the new “Blowout Tour” – a DJ tour already booked up across the UK.
