This event will mark the last ever party at Junk (or rather, the last ever party at Junk as you know it). At the end of 2013, following their triumph in the DJ Mag end of year awards, Junk announced that they will be undergoing a rebrand to become TRiPP. This rebrand is now due to come into effect and Junk is set to go out with a bang!

Headlining the final party are Numbers crew Jackmaster and Spencer and Aus Music mastermind Will Saul. Support will come from Junk’s finest residents from past and present and the downstairs bar will see something akin to a reunion dubbed “The Wonder Years” …

After a blistering few years spent blazing through the ranks of the underground Jackmaster is a man who has earned himself an honouree position amongst those very few DJs capable of igniting the scene solely with musically curatorial skills alone with his ability to create sets that both educate and most crucially entertain. Every time Jackmaster plays he brings his unique vision of past and future, with a vast grass roots knowledge spanning from his days manning the Rubadub records counter in his native Glasgow at the tender age of 14, Jackmaster is one of the those very few selectors who has the knowledge to appreciate where dance music has come from, and ever more fascinatingly, the vision to see where he and his Numbers crew feel it is heading. — via Junk

Likewise, as an equally crucial member of the Numbers crew, Spencer is another Glaswegian with an impressively large musical head on his shoulders. Often taking control of the Numbers residency on Rinse FM Spencer can be heard sharing a similarly diverse musical knowledge and vision. — via Junk

Making the third and final Junk debut of the night, Will Saul has masterfully helmed the AUS Music imprint since its inception in 2006 with a diversely impressive ear for interesting and stimulating dance floor music of the highest calibre. As well as gracing the label with his own productions Saul has long championed the crop of young artists emerging from the UK underground who share his acutely sophisticated taste from the likes of Midland, Bicep and George FitzGerald. — via Junk
