The duo known as Detroit Swindle are paying us a visit, venturing to Junk on Saturday 23rd November when Concrete Music will be co-hosting a WEAREJUNK night. Concrete Music is a Portsmouth-based regular club night that can boast a roster of past guests including the likes of Disclosure, Justin Martin, Eats Everything, Oneman, and Breach. They’ve been completely dominating Tuesday nights in Portsmouth for the past couple of years so just imagine what they can do on a Saturday when teaming up with Junk!
Update: Cult will be running things downstairs.

Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets are two Netherlands natives who discovered that, having spent the former half of their lives living separately, in the heart of Amsterdam, they’d actually shared a similar funk & soul inspired musical youth. Little did they know that theirs would be a childhood that would subsequently forge a distinct musical vision and cause both Lars and Maarten to meet and form the illustrious, deep-house duo Detroit Swindle.
A few years on and the pair have had their production hand behind some of the slickest house cuts in the scene, each one piercing the record crates of the most luminary artists and causing a flood of head-nodding, shoulder shuffling revelry to spread across the globe. Such merriment inevitably caught the attention of a fleet of labels from Saints & Sonnets, Dirt Crew and Tsuba Records, to name but a small few, firmly placing Detroit Swindle at the top of a lot of people’s wish list, including (it would appear) Junk’s.
Support will come from Concrete Music residents George A. G, Alex James, Billy Oz, and Benni Gold.
