SOUND SYSTEM is a new night starting at Rhino on Thursdays. For their first party they’ve booked Damon C Scott and LKiD with names like Hannah Wants and Monki also on the horizon. They’ll be “showcasing all forms of electronic music such as deep house, drum & bass, mash up, old skool garage and everything weird and wonderful in between all on rotation”. And, as you might have garnered from the name, they’re going for festival vibes. Also, featuring regularly on the nights will be residents George Francis (Ratzi) & Jakuzé.

Damon C Scott is the singer behind perhaps the biggest single of 2013, the MK remix of Storm Queen’s “Look Right Through”. For an introduction to the man himself, this video is well worth a watch: Mr Scott passes through Jonhnathan Joseph’s show on Ministry of Sound Radio to discuss how the track came about and future plans.

And here’s the track itself (just in case you’ve been under a rock for the past 12 months):

From the humble city of Leeds, Lewis Harris aka LKiD, delivers a fresh take on UK house music and is influenced by the likes of UK garage and hip-hop. Having recieved early support from the likes of Eats Everything, Shadow Child, Armand Van Helden, Jonas Rathsman, and more, he is definitely one to watch out for. Previous releases include labels such as, Cheap Thrills, No Brainer, and HK Records (Ministry of Sound).

As mentioned, George Francis and Jakuzé will also be DJing on the night, along with friend Harry Dolphin from Bournemouth.
