Crown Duels will be appearing at Prohibition tonight (Thursday 23rd Januaray). Many will recognise the name as Rob (one part of the duo) studied at Southampton Solent. Crown Duels will be supported by Chris Golding, Levi, and Francis Lee.

During 2012 Crown Duels have honed their sound, picking up support from Radio 1’s B.Traits on the way, and now have releases forthcoming on the Kerri Chandler-headed MadTech label and on Kry Wolf‘s Sounds Of Sumo.

Whilst 2013 was a breakthrough year for rising house duo, In just a year or so, Birmingham based duo Crown Duels have begun making a name for themselves in the highly competitive house scene. Producing songs that stray away from the normal and blend in more than one genre, they’ve been gaining more support from Radio 1 and various YouTube channels, whilst also starting their own label. 2013 was a big year for them, and there is a lot more to come.

What makes Crown Duels so ready-made for success is their creativity beyond the music realm. With a strong image and brilliant artwork that is just asking to be rolled out for merchandise, Rob seems to grasp the idea that getting your name out there isn’t just about rolling out the beats; it’s looking the part and making an impression too. Complementing each other perfectly on the decks, Rob focuses on the ground work and the technical side of things, whilst Tom joins Rob for mixing and set to create an engaging live duo. The partnership that evidently works judging by the consistency of their work.
